A HUG IS NEARLY A GUN SPELLED BACKWARDS

I was a bit confused on the essay seeing as we didn't exactly have prompt but I tried my very best and I'd LOVE to tweek it with any ideas. (Last paragraph sucks)

In all languages, a hug is an act of kindness, a show of affection, a welcoming to a new beginning, etc. A baby's first hug/ love i his/hers mom's open arms cradling it to her chest and listening to her cooing. A hug is usually the first step to a new relationship. Whether the relationship be a friendship, romantic, FAMILY, etc. Thinking of the word "hug" which the dictionary states is a form of physical intimacy, puts the mental image in your head of two or more people embracing one another. However, what if that wasn't that case? What if a hug is evil in ways? Would people still believe in the "hug" being the worldwide symbol of peace?

A hug is an invitation to get to know one another. This meaning a hug is usually the ice breaker to socialize with more people. That can be good or bad. Good being that you throw your friend life preserver ring into the grand ocean of socialism and catch yourself a few good friends. Bad meaning, trusting someone, a stranger, to keep your secrets safe. It is basically you giving them a loaded gun and hoping they won't shoot you.

A hug is also an invitation to a person's heart. In this modern day teenagers don't usually trust so easily. We have so many fake people these days that love to stab you in the back that it's difficult to open up. One hug by a special person usually opens the heart. That hug that leaves your heart tingling, your stomach with a crowd of butterflies in your stomach and your toes curling.

  3. I really liked your essay Liliy. I love that way you described everything; however, I think you should mention that you agree with E.M Foster in the beginning and then use all the description to prove why you think public relations are more important than patriotism. (:

Dude I love this. Your essay was great, but you didn't necessarily answer the question. I like the way you worded everything. I would suggest you edit it to answer the question but for sure keep those amazing quotes. Overall this is awesome.

  6. Hey Liliy! Your essay was great I liked how you described hugs and how you mentioned that phrase,"It is basically you giving them a loaded gun hoping they won't shoot you.". However, I think you should state whether you agree or disagree with E.M Forster in order to answer the question.

  8. I agree with what you said about hugs. I can see how you can relate. Everything was good overall but you didn't really answer the question. Maybe just change the first paragraph and answer E.M. Foster's question.
